Vapor Point’s pipeline pigging alternative to flaring is typically deployed when large volumes of liquids are historically found while pigging a pipeline. The system employs a ASME code blowdown drum acting as a wide spot in the line for liquids to accumulate and allowing vapors to build and exit the system through a series of scrubber systems. This engineered system removes the need for flaring and allows for managing the liquids in temporary vessels so that the station does not get overwhelmed during pigging operations while controlling vapor releases.
