A Gulf Coast refinery faced the task of removing 10-15 large butane and propane spheres from service within six months. To meet this critical deadline, the refinery sought high-capacity thermal degassing units. Vapor Point needed to provide a cost effective, rapid response, safe and environmentally compliant solution. Our focus was to ensure the timely removal of spheres without any delays. Additionally, third party nitrogen purging services needed to be managed by Vapor Point in accordance with refinery removal from service procedures.

Vapor Point provided a high-capacity 72 MMBTU Vapor Combustor, Liquid Knockout Pot, Pressure Regulator Skid, and braided hose to safeguard the Vapor Combustor during sphere degassing. This efficient setup facilitated rapid degassing and purging of the spheres, all while adhering to refinery regulatory and safety standards. Vapor Point's solution offered compliance and speed for seamless sphere degassing operations.
